I am submitting a petition for my fiancée, Ana Patricia González Nicholson, a citizen of Guatemala, to receive a K-1 Fiancée Visa. I have enclosed the following items in this package:

• processing fee payment in the amount of $95.00
• a signed and dated Petition for Alien Fiancée (Form I-129F)
• one color photo (M-378 style) of myself
• one color photo (M-378 style) of my fiancée
• one color photo of Patty and I together taken during my visit in July 1999
• a copy of page seven of my passport showing my arrival in Guatemala on 7 July 1999
• a copy of my Certificate of Live Birth from the State of Maryland
• a signed and dated FC-029

In support of this petition, I would like to take a moment to explain how Patty and I met. On 2 June 1999, I responded to an ad written and placed by some of her co-workers at the One and Only Personals website (http://www.oneandonly.com). Patty decided to reply to me even though she did not actually place the ad herself. We began our relationship by exchanging e-mail messages for a week or so. I then made my first telephone call to her home. We continued building our relationship through e-mail messages, private electronic chats and telephone calls. I decided to visit Patty in Guatemala, spending a week with her, her sister and her mother at their home in Colonia Miraflores from 7 July 1999 – 14 July 1999. Patty and I knew we were deeply in love and leaving Guatemala City at the end of my visit was very difficult for me. We have exchanged several hundred e-mails and spend hundreds of dollars (and Quetzales) on phone calls since the beginning of June. And we have spent the weeks since my visit planning a future together.

I will be visiting Patty and her family again in early November 1999. Patty and I will formally announce our engagement and hold a celebration for family and friends in Guatemala City during that visit. And since Christmas is a very special time of the year for both Patty and I, we would like to marry in late December 1999. We are hoping the US Consulate in Guatemala City can process, approve and issue a Finacée Visa for her by mid-December 1999. Patty already holds a valid Visitor Visa for the USA. She also speaks, reads and writes English fluently.

Patty and I greatly appreciate your attention and assistance in this matter.
